Providence Oil Co. Work Format

Providence oil company typically uses the following procedures to create prospects, analyze areas of interest and conduct basin studies:

  1. Literature search

  2. Data search (electric logs, scout tickets, core data, production data, etc.)

  3. Acquire digital base map (Lat. and Lon. data for well locations)

  4. Search for available geophysical data (seismic, gravity, geochem, magnetics, aerial photos, etc.)

  5. Determine tectonic setting in the area of interest.

  6. Establish regional structural trends.

  7. Correlate applicable well logs and construct x-sections.

  8. Create subsurface structural and isopach maps on pertinent horizons.

  9. Integrate seismic data with subsurface data.

  10. Analyze engineering, petrophysical and other pertinent data

  11. Prepare recommedations / final reports.

Providence oil Company is available to assist in developing exploration / exploitation programs and making the necessary presentations.

We use Geographix for subsurface mapping and Seisvision to integrate 2D and 3D seismic information into your projects in order to provide the most complete analysis of the data.  All the geological data bases are created and maintained in Geographix and can be provided to our clients on 8mm tape or CD's.
